Elizabeth's Story
After graduagtion I spent time working in Corpus, Houston and Huntsville. I returned to Portland the next summer and worked several places in Corpus until I landed a job with the Texas Railroad Commission in 1981...I spent the next 18 years with them in Corpus, Abilene, San Antonio and then back to Abilene. I married and divorced while in Corpus then transfered to Abilene to get away. I met Bob, the love of my life here and we celebrated our 25th anniversary in January 2010. pplying to the Texas Tech pharmacy school. Her daddy is an HSU alumnus as well as her great grandmommie. Her grandmommie attended for a time as well. I went back to school in 1999 and have been nursing since 2001. I will soon retire from being the Nurse Educator for Abilene State Supported Living Center after having completed 29 years of service to the State of Texas. My Mom and step dad moved out to the country after I graduated and he retired. They are still enjoying the quiet country life. My sister still lives in the house we grew up in with her husband. Our brother Glenn Morris (some may remember "Nub") passed several years ago.
