Life

So...life has been quite good! I live in london (ON), graduated from university, and work full time managing a well-respected medical research lab. I don't have any kids, nor am i married (yet). Perhaps those should be reversed...i don't have any kids because i'm not married yet! I'm in a great relationship with a wonderful Greek boy. We've been dating nearly 7 years (though we've been apart because of school for about 4 of those :( ) But since i like to travel, it's been ok (though i don't reccommend long distance for anyone!). It's been worth it though, i'm very happy..and that's all any of us are looking for.
I don't have any pets or anything..of course they make me sneeze, i've always been allergic to everything! lol I still keep in touch with a few people from highschool...deb bard, lisa bailey, cathy carriere, and from time to time mike bylow...shout outs! hahaha.
Anyway, that's all i have to say for now..take care and i hope this finds you well!
see ya!

School
I guess it's been a while since highschool. I don't want to put a number as it'll remind me how old i am! lol I met a lot of good friends, some of which i still talk to! I had a pretty good time at PSCI..even though i was there for 6 yrs! Not because i was dumb..well maybe a little bit ;) but because i thought i should become a meterologist. Then of course, i changed my mind at the last minute and went into immunology!
College
After Park Street i ventured off into the 'big city' ..no not toronto, but London (ontario!). Considering the size of Orillia, it IS a big city...6th largest in canada! Anyway, i went to the university of Western Ontario and ended up with an honours Bachelor's of Science in Mi...Expand for more
crobiology and Immunology..arguably the hardest science program there! (it was a struggle, let me toot my horn now! lol) Anyway, it was great times. I really found myself there, broke out of my mold. I met a lot of great down to earth people, despite western's 'country club U ' reputation (maybe applies to the arts faculties, not so much in the sciences). Anyway, i was lucky enough to get a job even before i wrote my last exam! That was exciting!
My new job was essentially on campus, so it was sort of like i was still in school, but without all the stress..it was great! Soon i started to miss school again, and i thought i'd take on some new challenges..i started full time school while working full time (i never liked anything easy i guess..or i'm just dumb! lol). I fast-tracked through the Clinical Trials Management program 'with distinction'. For some reason, i was prouder of this accomplishment than i was of my initial degree...i guess because i actually made a serious effort with this one. ;)
Anyway, university was great..i recommend it for anyone and everyone..especially if you're from a small town. It's such an eye opener..in a good way. There are all kinds of people and so much opportunity! Sure you don't come out with the hard core job skills you'd get in college, but you learn how to think, problem solve, be questioning, and have a greater perspective on the world and those around you...at least that's what my experience was!
Workplace
Hi all,
As i've said before in other bios..i have been fortunate enough to find a good career in managing a medical research lab. I do research in the fields of spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, cancer, and using MRI as a tool. Look up some of my papers on pubmed!
