President of MADD Erie County Chapter I hold advanced certification as a Victim Advocate, and am trained in the response to a mass casualty incident, critical incident stress debriefing, advanced grief and trauma, MADD Leadership training,death notification, grief and cultural differences along with many other trainings applicable to victim services and traffic safety. Recipient of the MADD National President's highest honor given to a MADD Volunteer Sept. 25, 2010 in Washington, D.C. The Golden Achievement Award at the 30th Anniversary of MADD. Recipient of The Heart of MADD National President's Award in 2005 at the 25th Anniversary of MADD in Washington, D.C. for outstanding victim services. Participated in the film documentary Marine Down- The Second Front, a film about the life and death of my Son, Sgt. George Obad USMC at the age of 26. The film takes a look at the issues many soldiers are facing after deployments, drunk driving crashes, PTSD, stress, motorcycle crashes and impaired driving. My hope is to eliminate drunk driving one day and also save lives of our soldiers on area roadways, thus keeping everyone safer. More soldiers have died on the road than in battle for the past three years.".
