Cathy and I just kayaked the rapids in upper Cache Creek with Douglas Nareau for my 60th birthday--yeehaa!!! There was blood, but it was otherwise grand!! I am now "18 with 42 years experience"!! ROCK ON!!
I took early retirement from the education field so I could hunker down and write our family history in the area since the 1850s--and to end up with short stories and the great California novel set in the area...I have now self-published 12 of 14 planned journals for The Greater Capay Valley Historical Society, which I started so I would better celebr...Expand for more
ate this place we call "home"--and we Duncan-Monroes have for over 160 years! Next up: The Book: all 14 journals will be bound into a 350 page full-color book of stories and history of the Capay Valley; it will be out in January 2014!!! After that, quarterly shorter journals for the society while I write short stories and a novel about Capay Valley...
