Elizabeth's Story
Hey everyone!
My life in a nutshell. I have two kids (they aren't kids anymore), Sarah who is now 22 yrs. old, and David who is 20. They've been a huge blessing in my life as I consider them ..not only my kids. but my dearest friends as well.
Fourteen of my years were spent homeschooling Sarah and David. I taught them from K-12 and we had a blast the entire time. My kids loved it. Hey, what kid can go to school and have a cup of hot chocolate on the desk next to them and a warm cat on their lap?
I rest my case.
Now that homeschooling is done, I've had some time on my hands. I just finished writing my Mother's life story. Not necessarily to be published, but more for our family history. My mother and her family were stricken with botulism poisoning when she was fifteen. They were treated with an untested horse serum and some of them lived, but sadly some of them didn't. It was a long fight for survival for all of them. Along with that, I've just written 267 pages of my own crazy life story. I also love playing my piano...all the latest songs and some of the ones we used to listen to...Expand for more
during our high school days. I also love to work out three or four days a week on my Bowflex Extreme 2. Love that machine, it's awesome. Add to all that, I am now studying to be a Medical Transcriptionist a much needed career for me as I am going through a divorce after 24 years of marriage.
I'm still in touch with Judy White and Gay Gordon from high school. We e-mail each other often.
My best friends right now would have to be my kids and an awesome man named Jerry that I've known for twenty years. He's been there through all the trials of my life and is the anchor I hold to. Love him with all my heart. He recently helped me buy my first gun. I got a Ruger P95 9mm Semi-automatic. Jerry has taken me and my kids shooting a few times up in the mountains and it's become one of our favorite hobbies. We enjoy target shooting so much, that Sarah bought herself a Glock 22. A manly, gun for sure, but it's perfect for her.
Can't think of much more to write. I'm sure I'll be adding things as I think of them. Hope you are all doing great and that your lives are wonderful.
God Bless,
Liz
