Am currently trying to train a small sweet but demanding dog! Supposed to growl at her when she barks! I'm working on it! Still cannot decide on her name or even for certain if I'm going to keep her! It is good in that she forces me to get out and walk some every day! You see, I had a big black collie-mix, my beloved "Willie," for 15 1/2 yrs. Lost him in Oct. 06. Finished my BA at UT in 1969, after taking most of a year off to teach (sub) in Kailiua, Hawaii, and then work in a department store in Waikiki, Honolulu. I lived very near the beach (my oldest brother and his wife were living in Hawaii at the time) at Waikiki, and took advantage of it as much as possible! After finishing UT, I worked mostly for THE University, and the State. Lost my mom back in 1984, and took care of my dad (drove him all over, etc) for two years--he, my dog Willie and I were great companions--before we lost him due to an accident right at Christmas in 1997. He was doing a volunteer ministry at a nursing home the day of his accident. Been keeping up with politics--getting to be too much--and try to read at least some or a lot of the newspaper every day.
