Elizabeth's Story
Well, I headed off to Pomona...classical languages, art history, pre-med. Met my husband Frank while on the waiting list for UCLA Med school. Opted for him to finish seminary first. Family bi-polar disorder struck when I was reapplying to med. school. Chose to get R.N. Worked high risk labor and delivery. One daughter, two sons, going on 44 1/2 yrs. of marriage as clergy spouse...would you believe! Experienced major brain damage in late 40's. Slow recovery, but doing well now. Lots of health problems, but am a survivor in spades. Retired 2009. Small town Alabama afte...Expand for more
r time in both metro D.C., rural VA, small and large town MI (so glad we're not in Flint now). We live in community of 500, suburb of town of 12,500...but it's only 45 min. to Birmingham, 2-3 hrs. to Atlanta, 4-5 hrs. to Nashville. Busy, busy. Hobbies: writing poetry, needlework--knitting, cross-stitch, etc., flower gardening; volunteer at local museum and church. Travel between health crises. Can't be with you all because of extensive DVT and pulmonary emboli last Dec. Have guest room. Write lots of letters by e-mail or snail-mail. Would love to hear from any of you.
