Elizabeth's Story
Life
My dad was in the USAF, so we moved alot. I went to high school in Carlisle, PA, Papillion, NE and graduated in Bossier City, LA. I was only in Papillion from 79-81 moving the summer before my senior to Louisiana. I am only in touch with a few friends from my HS years. I consider Papillion my "high school", since I spent the longest amount of time there.
I ended up going to Centenary College, then I moved to upstate NY. I decided to go on the quarter horse show circuit full time & see what I could do - so I became a professional equestrian, horse trainer and instructor/coach. I loved it and was quite successful but I was dirty all the time and 1/2 the time I was hurt! After 4 years, it was time for a change.
So, I moved to Philly in 90 or 91, can't remember (my Dad's side of the family lives here). I have worked in tourism & hospitality industry for the past 10 years - and LOVE it! Four years ago I branched out and started my own event planning/marketing/pr company - Lizzievents - it is still small but chugging along. ...Expand for more
I also write 2 monthly magazine columns about having awesome events & cool party ideas. I have a lot of fun doing what I do, I get to meet celebs, pro-athletes and plan awesome parties/events AND I get paid for it. What could be better. I consider myself very, very lucky. Philadelphia is an incredible city and there is always something
going on or someplace fun to go.
As for my love-life or lack there of - well, I have absolutely NO luck when it comes to dating -- so, yes -- I am 43 and still single! UGH! Maybe I should start wearing a big, pink fuzzy robe, start a cat collection and drink cheap wine from a box while yelling back at Judge Judy on TV! Hee hee!
Why I am on Classmates.com? I am trying to reconnect with old friends and classmates from all 3 high schools - Carlisle, PA - Papillion, NE and Bossier City, LA. I have been lucky to reconnect with a few people and it's been GREAT hearing what they've been up to the past 25 years. I would love to find more old friends here. I hope to hear from you in soon!
