Elizabeth's Story

When I left high school I went to Texas Tech University as a pre-law major. However, I needed to do some personal work on me before I could do much of anything else so I quickly transferred to a psychology major. Indeed, Isn¿t that why all psychology majors choose psychology? Next I lived and worked in Canada for a couple of years and then married the most wonderful man for me. His job took us to Michigan and then Ohio where I completed my graduate degree in school psychology from The University of Toledo. My husband and I have two sweet daughters who keep us laughing. could tolerate me that long! Even though I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis when I was in my late 20's, I have lived a very fulfilling life. Yet, the disease has progressed the last seven years and has become more challenging.. I am trying to figure out how to make it part of my exciting journey. Well, I guess it all depends on how one defines excitement. If unpredictability is part of your definition then I am living one awesome exciting life! Written with a smile on my face as I contemplate the ambulance ride I took this last week prompted by my first grand mal seizure.
