Going to Chico State,in hindsight, those where some of the most exciting fun times of my life. I got to do a little of everything I love. I choreographed, danced, was in competitions, was an actress in a few plays. I was able to volunteer and service the community through mentoring. Because, of all the activities I did, I had lots of friends and associates. Because, of all the activities my grades suffered, but it all worked out in the end. st times of my life. I say "hindsight," because at the time I couldn't wait to get home to be with people that looked like me and listen to the same music I did. It was, it seemed at the time, tuff to be the only black person in many of my classes. So I spent a great deal of time, in between activities and socializing, wishing that I could be in Oakland again. Where I was only thirty mintues away from a substantial/real mall. At any rate,looking back those were some of the best years of my life.
