Elleke's Story
Remember, I was an AFS-student to SAHS in the year 1969-1970, living with the family of Judy Dwinell. After returning home in 1970 to The Netherlands (Holland) I went to the University of Utrecht and studied Cultural Anthropology. I made it to my Bachelor degree and got married. We settled in the surroundings of Rotterdam and lived there for 11 years. Both my children were born there. I have a daughter and a son, now aged 31 and 30!!

heir homework,planning etc. In 1987 we moved up north to a beautiful small town near the city of Groningen. I finished my Masters Degree with a Master in American Studies and got a job as studentcounselor at the university of Groningen. Unfortunately we divorced.
Two years ago I had some healthproblems but I'm fine now and only work a little less than before.
I try to travel as much as I can: my year in the USA at such a young age made me a worldcitizen. I have been back to your country quite a few times now and in some ways it is still "home" to me.
