Life
D.O.B. 7-29-1935 /Douglas,AZ ,El Dorado School K-8th grade. Douglas High School first semester freshman:fall 1948;
Graduated HS in Elfrida,AZ May 1952;
St.Mary's School of Nsg.9/1952-5/1953;Married Gene Glasscock 5-16-1953,we have 5 children:2 boys 3 girls. 15 grandchildren.9 Great grandaughters.2 great grandsons. Amateur Radio W7INN since 1957. Entered Cochise Cochise College in January 1993; Received my Licensed Practical Nurse degree in May 1997; fulfilling a lifelong dream of being a nurse. Hobbies:Photography,Computers,Reading,Sewing,Travling,Cooking,Geneology,AZ History,Music. I'm working as an LPN with the Elderly and Disabled in a Nursing Home 1 block from home. My grandparents were Pioneers to Cochise County.Indian Artifacts are another interest. We were looking forward to our 50th wedding anniversary on May 16 2003. My Christian faith is strong and I owe all my accomplishments to the Lord. I am a member of First Baptist Church of Douglas. On August 1 2002 my darling husband of almost 50 years passed away at Tucson Heart Hospital, after a 5 bypass surgery & 2 heart attacks. I am getting on with my life, facing the future 1 day...Expand for more
at a time, with the Lord's help. I continue to work 4 evenings each week, which helps.
JUNE 4 2005: married Robert Earl Dees "Earl", widower of Mary Elizabeth Marble; he is a former classmate Freshman year of High School. I now have 2 grown Stepsons, 1 grown stepdaughter,and two step-grandchildren; a 17yr old girl & 13yr old boy. Team roping and ranch life is now again part of my life. Earl's son Mike Dees is a professional team roper. Love the 2nd time around is beautiful; and I am still working at the nursing home because I love my job. God is faithful. I am now Ellen Ruth Amalong Glasscock Dees.
2011: I now have 20 Great Grandchildren ages 17 1/2 to newborn. I retired in 2006 from nursing & life is beautiful with my husband Earl Dees. Our health is good and we enjoy life. The Lord has been good to us.
August 2013: My Great grandchildren now number 24; the oldest was 19 last February. The youngest was born in July. Had some visits to the hospital earllier this year for Atrial Fibrillation ( which is now controlled) and Pneumonia.
I am doing well now. Just finished freezing peaches from our first tree. 3 more to finish ripening.
