Ellen's Story
Ellen is from Nashville, Tennessee. She is single. Her schools include Hillwood High School. She later attended the U of Exeter, England and graduated from Agnes Scott College (English and Creative Writing). She has a long career in nonprofit communications and fundraising; jobs have been with the NC Opera; NC Symphony; and the Lucy Daniels Center, all in Raleigh where she now lives. communications for Beginnings, a statewide nonprofit serving parents of deaf or hard-of-hearing children. She is currently a member of the DAR and the Raleigh Professional Women's Forum. Her son Jonathan is a teacher in Frankfurt, Germany and married to a German woman; they have one daughter, Gigi, age 4. Her daughter Megan is a senior media strategist for an agency in NYC; she is married to a young man from Colombia.
