James's Story
Life
After high school I attended the US Air Force Academy, where I majored in History. I earned my degree, received my commission in the US Air Force (May 96), and married my wife (also a cadet) Ellen in June 1996. I went to Vandenberg AFB, Ca for Space and Missile Training, then moved to FE Warren AFB, Wyoming for ICBM Operations, from April 1997 to Aug 2000. I moved to Holloman AFB, NM, as part of a mobile space unit. I deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in Feb 2003, returning May 2003. I left Hollom...Expand for more
an AFB in Jun 2003 for Washingto DC where I worked with the Air Force's weather satellite program through the Dept of Commerce. I left the Air Force in Jan 2005 and accepted a position with SAIC.
I am happily married for 10 years to Ellen, who is from Saline, Michigan (outside Ann Arbor). I have a son, Marcus, born on Halloween 2000 (how appropriate for me). I also have a daughter, Megan, who was born on 3 October 2005.
We are living in Bucharest, Romania since July 2006 and will be here for 2 more years.
