Ellen's Story
Married into the Army in 1993. We have lived in Georgia, Utah, Idaho, Hawaii and currently in Virginia. Proud mom and stepmom of two.
Hmm....looking at the little story idea box, let's see what I can come up with...
What about me would surprise everyone at your high school reunion? If I actually showed up... I was a shadow on the wall in high school...never fitted in with any of the "crowds". Just wanted to get the hell out of there.
Which teacher would you love to see again? I don't really know.
What's the wildest thing you ever did on school? Wildest..hmm...nothing really wild....now stupid, that's a whole different story.
What happened to your first crush? He killed himself on Jan. 21 2008. We stayed in touch all these years, and I knew that life had thrown him quite a few curve balls. I never dreamed that he would take his own life. I miss you, Mike.
How do you hope old friends remeber you? I don't think anyone from high school remembers me.

my sends us, with my husband, son and my stepson, who would be home from Iraq. I would be geographically closer to our parents and siblings.
Life doesn¿t always turn out the way you expect. What¿s been your biggest surprise? Meeting my husband and becoming an Army wife. Let's just say my taste in guys in high school left something to be desired, with one exception. No one in my family ever dreamed that I would meet someone like Dave.
You get one do-over. What do you do differently? Not get involved with Pat and Roger, not get pregnant and miscarry at 16. But, if I change the course of history, would I be where I am at now? I am the person I am today because of all the crap back then.
Where have you lived? Why did you move? We have lived in Georgia (3 months), Utah (1993-1996), Idaho (1996-1999). Dave lived for a year in Saudi Arabia without us (unaccompanied assignment 1998-1999), Hawaii 1999-2005 (Dave was deployed to Afghanistan for a while), and Virginia 2005 - present. We moved because that is where the Army has sent my husband.
