Life After graduation I attended St.Pete JC for a year,( '77) and quickly decided that I wanted to be a singer full time as band work became more available to me. A.) It was my total and complete passion. B) It paid well for a kid out of high school! My first gig was singing backups to Jerry Teran in his showband at the "Hawaiian Inn"on St. Pete Bch..Remember that place? Made 250. a week and thought I ruled the world! The club owner put out an ad that said "featuring Ellen Dutton: Petite Dynamite!" Pretty funny press, considering that I was a scrawny girl with bra "enhancements" that my mother had painstakenly sewn into my gowns. Anything for the business!!! HAA I didn't even know how to put on makeup. I changed my name to "Janelle" and began my career singing locally in clubs and studios. During that time I sang backups for Donny Osmond on his "Soldier Of Love" tour for two years, ('89 to '91) and also with heavy metal band "Crimson Glory",( opening for Ozzy) on a 6 week European tour in '89.
