Life
I was married March 20, 1980 in Las Vegas, Nevada to Jay Aven of Matther High School Class of 1971. We have one daughter Elisa, 16 years old. We have lived in Houston, Texas, Palatine & Arlington Heights, Illinois, Orlando, Florida and current Marietta, Georgia. Jay works for Hyatt Hotels where he has been for almost 25 years in various cities and locations.
Elisa was born in Arlington Heights, Illinois and raised in Orlando from age 3 to 14. She was Bat Mitzvahed in Orlando. Elisa is a singer, has worked with professional vocal coaches and producers both in Orlando and Marietta. She co-wrote two songs with Gerry Williams. he Georgia All State Choir which is a very high honor. Elisa plans on going to FSU where she will study to become a Music Therapist.
I have a Dusky Conure named Peeky who is just over 8 years old. There life expectancy is 25 years...long way to go! I also have a male Toy Pomeranian named Taffy who was born in Georgia and so far the best thing to happen to us since we moved here. I have a pond in the front of my house which was something I have always wanted and to my knowledge I have at least 3 living goldfish and a frog who took up residence last year.
I spent many year in the travel industry later after Elisa was born I opened a bakery in Orlando which I loved but it was exhausting and I closed it due to financial and health reasons.
