Elton's Story
Elton is from New Orleans, Louisiana. He is married, a grand and great-grand father. His schools include Booker T. Washington High School. He later graduated Central Texas College, Community College of the Air Force and the Senior NCO Academy USAF. He served for 30 years CMSGT (RETIRED). He retired again, after working 17 another years, from Grand Strand Water and Sewer Authority, Conway, SC.
During his long military service, he managed maintenance and operation activities of several flight simulators and bombing, navigation, air refueling and electronic warfare operator training systems. t; KC-135 Fligth Deck and Air Refueling Trainers. He maintained various dead reckoning trianing sets and a spitz planetarium that simulated the northern hemisphere stars of the earth for any day of the years--past, present, future.
He deployed during Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm (1st Gulf War) as Avionics, Electrical, Egress and Propulsion Systems Maintenance Superintendent for deployed A-10 Warthog Fighter Jet Aircrafts (Tank Killers) assigned to the 354PTFW (Provisional Tactical Fighter Wing) at King Fahd AB, Saudi Arabia. He served his final three and a half years and retired from military service as Headquarters 9th Air Force United States Central Command (USCENTCOM) Logistics Division, Aircraft Maintenance Superintendent.
