Elton's Story

Life Hey folks, I'm in my thirties now and loving life. What can I say? I'm not in Hawaii anymore and you know what, I don't plan on moving back till I either retire, my kids graduate high school or both. The day I left to join the Air Force, I never really bothered looking back. There are times I thought about it, but when I look at my kids, I never regretted my decision. The east coast is a great place to live. Yes, there are no waves like there are in Hawaii, but the cultures here that you emense yourself in is one of the greatest experiences of anyone's life, including mine. Charleston is a very historic city, not saying that Hawaii isn't, but just being able to meet someone and have them tell you that people here are the friendliest ever. And the best part of living here or anywhere in the continental United States is that you can pick up and drive to another state instead of spending money on airline tickets just to go to another island for a few hours or days. Since living here in S.C. the past 12+ years is that I've driven up and down the east coast and loved every minute of it. My family life is awesome...I met my children's mom here and although I'm divorced from her, I have the most beautiful children and people ALWAYS compliment me about them. My children's names...Expand for more
are Justin Santiago and Julie Kealani. They keep me very busy after I get home from work whenever it's my visitation days to where I can't even get any office work done but no regrets. My company will have to get over it or get used to it is what I have to say about that. School What can I say about high school? I started my freshman year at Sehome High School in Bellingham, WA and ended with my senior year at Ka'u High and loved every second of it. Although I hated any math courses, I loved anything to do with history and man, since living on the mainland, history has helped me a hell of a lot more than algebra has. Hehehe. My fav teacher was and always will be Mr. Paul Woolverton. Without him, I really don't think I would've followed my dreams and change my stars. Hail to you, Mr. Woolverton and many mahalo's for your awesome advices you've given me and for most of all, being a good friend. I loved my friends that I had in high school and only kept a very tight circle of friends around me from Craig Holliday, Cy Lopez, Davelyn Villegas, Ariel Rosenbloom, Brenda Tabada, Dorothy Castaneda and most importantly, Krisinda Ibarra. Without my tight circle of friends, I really don't think I would've survived high school. Many mahalo's to y'all and to my friends outside my circle.
