Elva's Story
Life
After I graduated from high school, I attended UT, Martin. I got married and my husband joined the Navy. We went to Pensacola, FL for Officer Candidate School. We ended up in Hawaii, not a bad place, for 3 years. I had two daughters their. We moved to San Diego and divorced. So much for the good life. Just kidding, I met a wonderful man and we have been married 27 years. We added another daughter and we now have all the girls married and 6 grandchildren. My husband wor...Expand for more
ked for the Depart. of Defense and I stayed home and was the domestic engineer. All that learning at Central paid off. I was a great volunteer person. My husband retired. He saw the airplane crash into the Pentagon and had had enough. We lost 2 friends that day. We retired to North Carolina and enjoy golf and bridge. It hasn't been a bad life and as I write this I see how fortunate I was. I don't have any family in Memphis anymore. Only one girlfriend. Lets have a reunion .
