Elva's Story
Today is January 20, 2015. Things are going pretty ok for me now. I just had a birthday and celebrated with my sisters my brother in law, Roque, my niece and her boyfriend, and my best friend from California, Gloria. It was so nice as always. My mom is doing really well at the rehab place and should be coming home pretty soon. My sister, Chata, got pneumonia again but not so severe. She's home now. Things are pretty good!
Today is July 24, 2014. My marriage did not last. I should have listened to my sis! In December of 2013, Raymond left to go back to Texas for good. Things did not go as well as we had hoped. He couldn't be happy here in California and so he decided to leave. He took the truck because he hadn't really bought it for me! I am okay and I hope everything works out well for him.
June 10, 2013: Raymond left again yesterday with his 3 daughters who came out to see one of his grandkids graduate. It's getting kind of hard for me so I've got to keep busy. He thinks he will be back in about 2-3 weeks.
March 25, 2013: Raymond is back...YAY! He brought the truck he bought for me. We had such a hard time during the snow season that he bought me a 2001 Ford F150 and it's a 4wd! No more hassling with the chains!
February 25, 2013: I went to visit Raymond in SA for 5 days. Things did not go very well but we straightened things out before I came back to CA.
January 15, 2013: Raymond left to go take care of some business in San Antonio. I really miss him.
Wanted to update my profile a bit. Okay, let me take you back to what's gone on. About a month ago I found out I was going to my sister, Janie's, 50th H.S.reunion. We arrived in San Antonio on Thursday, October 11,2012. Janie's amazing & generous friends...Expand for more
, Ralph & Norma Cortez, had made arrangements with her to let us stay at their home. That night we went to the hall where the reunion was gonna be at so we could help set up. I met some wonderful people there starting with Ralph Sanchez and his wife Rosie, then Rosa and Marie. I really enjoyed helping out.
On Friday, October 12, 2012, we went to the reunion. I had a blast, as always, with my sister Janie. I met several people but one, in particular caught my eye. His name is Raymond Sanchez. He was a football star in high school. My sister did not like him at all. He told us he was a pastor. I told my sis that I believe people can change and if he was a pastor, I couldn't lose! Anyway, we dated while I was out there. He's coming to Calif in November.
June 10, 2011: I know Ive alrdy writtn my story but I dont see it here anymor, so here I go again.FYI Im gonna do it text style so I wont run out of charactrs, so plz xcuse my spelin.I use to hang out with alot of ppl,but mostly with Olivia Martinez who married Felipe Pardo. I also hung out wit Diana Vela who marrid Joe Duran, Juanita Yanez, Mary Rodriguez who was Olivia M.s cousin,n Yolanda Cavazos.I grduatd in 67 and in 68 I mvd to Calif.I livd in the Long Beach area til bout 6 yrs ago. My husband passd and I movd to the San Bernardino Mts. I have 2 girls, 1 marrid n 1 not. I hav 2 grndchildrn, a 19 yr old boy n his sis who is 5yrs old. Im still wrkinn hv 2 jobs.Durin the week Im childcare Site Dir. at an elem. skul for K-6th n wknd nights I watch 6 teen boys 14-18yrs old, who r in recvry. So as you can tell I hav no social life but hey Im doin btr than alot of ppl cuz I am wrkin. Well thats up 2 da min. news on me. Hope 2 hear frm mor of u. So long 4 now
