Elvi's Story
After graduating from MPHS, I commuted to George Mason University for four years. I graduated with a degree in education. I got married my final year of college to Carlton Rogers, my dream come true.
I taught my first year at Manassas Park Elementary. What a surreal experience to teach in the school in which I had attended!! I would have stayed there forever, but my husband and I bought our first home in Locust Grove.
It was then that I transferred to Prince William County. I taught in Dale City for a year, then Triangle for six years. I would have stayed there forever, but my husband I got custody of his daughter so I transferred to Fauquier County Schools for my final two years of teaching. We moved to Sumerduck, VA shortly before the custody change.

During my tenth (and final) year of teaching, I became pregnant. I delievered a bouncing baby boy, (Carlton Jr. who we call Bubby) June 2002.
Fall of 2002, I began working full time at the church as the ministry had really grown. That worked out perfect because I couldn't have imagined going back to work, leaving my baby with a sitter. Shortly after that, we moved to Front Royal (after nearly three years of commuting an hour one way- with a baby....yikes).
In June 2006, I delivered a baby girl, Angelina. Now, our family is complete!
Fall of 2007, we opened up Dynamic Life Christian School where I serve as Director and K4-K5 teacher. Both of my children are in school with me. My mom is the bookkeeper. My step-daughter, Amber works in our after school program. I'm having the time of my life!!
God has been so good to me. He has blessed my family tremendously, and I thank Him everyday for the difference He has made in my life.
