Elwin's Story

I am into precious metals exploration. Have been messing with the desert most all of my life and prospecting with my friends brings me adventure and complete satisfaction. The wonders of this world are awesome, as God has provided me and my partners with a giant sandbox filled with life, mystery and the past. I love the outdoors, the work sometimes is hard and the desert sun will nail you if you are not prepared. Ha, Ha!! I'll take the summer of the Arizona desert over any other location on the globe where I would otherwise freeze my butt off. I have followed the footsteps of Father Kino and Capt. Manje, walked thru the Superstition Mountains, looking at the wonders left by man so very long ago, crossed fast flowing rivers with my Jeep Cherokee 4X4, the water flowing thru the rocker panels quickly filling the floor, my kids screaming, loving every minute. I love this life of solitude and the vast open spaces where the city folk have longed to go. I hope someday you can experience the great vastness of this kick ass state I call home, where my friends live and I will probally be here all of my life (Maybe New Mexico too!). If you all come out this way give me a buzz or drop me a line and we will get together for a real good time. We Californians really got some fine edumacation didn't we? Life is great! In the picture I am holding a King Snake not a Coral Snake. I live on a five acre horse property about 1 mile from the Gila Indian Reservation Casino which I do not visit much except when company comes out and wants to go lose their hard earned money. Native Americans are finally getting just revenge. The white man screwed them over all through history and our country is doing the same to us as I write this post. I am not so worried about me, its the kids (now adults) and their kids, my grand children. We are so screwed and there is ...Expand for more
not a dog-gone thing anyone can do about it. The bottom line is this: trust in God and love all of God's children. Teach your kids the truth and after all is said and done we will all experience the greatest mystery known to man and all of us who believe will be ushered into the Kingdom of God and his Son, Jesus of Nazareth. You may think me silly or even somewhat naive pertaining to what I have written. Those who know me will tell you that I pull no punches and pretty much tell it like it is. We are just passing thru this world and the greatest life adventure lies before us. Trust me. Elwin (Ellie) Gardner My Father passed away on December 16th, 1995. Mom passed away exactly 10 years to the day my Father passed, 16 Dec. 2005. My Sister Sherry passed away Christmas of 2007 due to MS. Terry lives in Galesburg, IL. 24 years in the Army, now working as a Computer Software Designer for Caterpillar in Peoria, IL. Lorraine (Rainy) lives in Lawton, OK. and works for the Sheriff's Department as a dispatcher. Me? I have had two wives, three boys, one girl adopted and one girl mine. Boys are Lewis, Ryan, Travis. Girls are Melissa (mine) and Brittany (adop., but mine too). Ex wives; Ann Schaeffer and Cindy Sosebee. I still love them both, but can't live with em and its damn hard to live without them. Treasure life and count all as good, even the bad. This is the only life you will ever have on this earth as one day above ground is better then any day under it! Sit down and write a book about your life. I would love to read it. No one can express one's feelings and experiences better than you. We all need someone to love and we need to love someone also. The greatest joy in this life is love. Elwin (Ellie) Frederick Gardner Note: 14 August 2013, I just turned 63 today and I am in good health. Hope I can make it to a reunion some day...
