Life
Well, I finally joined Classmates. Our 50th class reunion is upon us this year. Can you believe it?
Lets see....upon graduation I went to work for a Title Company in Oakland. Worked there for 5+ years then decided I wanted to work in San Francisco and went to work for another Title Company there. Stayed there for 6+ years and then went to work for Kaiser Health Plans back in Oakland. Was there for maybe 2+ years. In 1971 I got married and within that first year of marriage my husband was transferred to Sioux Falls SD as Asst. Cheif of the Photo Lab at the EROS Data Center. (He worked for the US Geological Survey.) We arrived in January of 1972...burrrrr. Quite a change from living in California!!! I went to work for Sioux Valley Hospital as a Medical Transcriptionist in the Pathology Dept. That was a most interesting position. I only worked there for maybe 2 years before I "retired" to become a mom. My 2 sons were born in Sioux Falls. In 1979 he transferred back to Calif. to the Geological Survey in Menlo Park and we lived in Saratoga CA.
In 1982 we decided to get out of the rat race in Calif. and moved up to Grants Pass OR. We sorta retired here but in 1989 I decided to go back to work again a...Expand for more
s the kids were older and I went to work at our local Title Company and stayed there for 6 years, then went to work for Josephine County first in the Assessors office then in the Clerks Office.
In 2004 I divorced and in August of that year I met Keith. We were married in June of 2005. Keith is a Pharmacist. We have been officially retired since April 2006. I retired as a Deputy County Clerk from the Josephine County Clerks Office Elections Dept. and Keith retired as the Pharmacy manager at our local Rite Aid Pharmacy. I have 2 children and Keith has 3 children and between us we have 12 grandchildren. My 2 boys live up in Salem OR.
When we are not traveling we are very involved with our Church activities, golfing, gardening and just putzing around the house. Keith loves to golf, & also does woodworking. I like to quilt & garden. We are going to be restoring a 1968 Ford Mustang. That should be an interesting project. If we can only decide on a color to paint it....(grin)
Well, that's about it in a nutshell since 1958 to present. Not very exciting, but I wouldn't change much. I am really looking forward to the reunion this year and seeing all of you. Anyone who wants to e-mail me....please do....
