Emily's Story
I went to Shannon High School but had to leave in the middle of my junior year. I moved to Gordo, AL and graduated there.
My professional life has been in the medical field. I was an x-ray technician for three years but then was fortunate enough to find jobs in the Medical Administrative field. I worked managing medical practices for many years until I retired in 2009.

I attended the UAB while living in Birmingham and then St. Petersburg College when I moved to Florida, majoring in Business Administration.
I have two children, a girl and a boy. My daughter, Nicole Johnson, was Miss America 1999. She and my son, Scott both live in FL near me. I have one beautiful granddaughter who is the light of my life.
Since retiring, I have been active in organizing and scoring sailing regattas as well as active in my church.
