Emily's Story
Life
I am married to a wonderful husband, Rodney. We have been married since 1998. We have a daughter McKinzie who is 3 years old now. We love her very much and plan on having a second one, since my doctor now agrees that it is okay. I was diagnosed with MS in 1998.
School
I did not go to any schools after high school. I started a job at Blue Cross Blue Shield at age 18 in Moorhead, MN. Learned a lot with hands on training. Then moved to Minneapolis, and...Expand for more
got a job at Park Nicollet Clinic, then Now Care Medical Centers, and finally a rewarding job with Twin Cities Orthopedics.
Workplace
I enjoy my job. I work as an Insurance and Billing Specialist for the largest Orthopedic Organization in the Twin Cities. My job is to collect money from Insurance companies on unpaid claims and I help patients deal with denials from their insurance companies. I appeal claims. I am one of the few employees who work from home.
