Emily's Story
Where all have I lived? WOW! When I left Columbus in 63, it was because my dad (step) was in the Air Force and was transferred to Hickham AFB in Hawaii. Which is where I finished up school. That is also where I met my husband Bill. Bill was in the Navy and was transferred to San Diego. For us to marry, I had to fly to San Diego (all alone and terrified). He had rented a 1/2 of a duplex in Coronado and we were married December 17, 1965. From Coronado Calif, we moved back to Ohio, but not Columbus, Bill is from the Cleveland area and so we moved to Maple Heights Ohio, which is where our first child was born 4/19/67, we moved to Columbus shortly after his birth and we had our second son, born at Riverside Methodist, 10/7/68. Ohio, from Springboro we moved to Charleston WVA, from Charleston to Princeton WVA, from Princeton to Wilmington NC from Wilmington to North Augusta SC, from N. Augusta to Macon GA from Macon to Raleigh NC, from Raleigh to Port St. Lucie FL, from PSL to Raleigh and that was in 1991. We are still in Raleigh...Whew! Our next move will likely be when I retire and we will move to the Western Part of the state near the mountains. Why did we move around so much? for my husband's job as a sales engineer for a high tech electrical (factory automation) company.
I am very anxious to hear from some folks I went to HS with in Columbus. I have heard from Leslie Henson Hardiman, but she is the only one...I guess I was not very well loved, boo hoo. But that was yesterday
