I was a very small, quiet person in school. Not one of the (in) crowd. My two best friends were Gayle Durham and Delores Dixon(Hall). Gayle and I lost contact but Delores and I have remained friends throughout the years. Delores and I both worked for the Detroit Board of Ed. oth First Ladies and our husbands knew each other in growing up, although Delores' husband grew up in Ecorse. My husband is a RR grad in the class of 1961, Pastor Frederick Gilliam. However, I never would have imagined him becoming a pastor. We have 3 boys and 4 grandchildren and will be married 44 years August 13. He now is my very best friend and the love of my life.
