Eric's Story

Life My pets, my pets, my pets -- still just a loyal and loveable black lab by the name of Sparky. Contrary to everyone's (mostly my friend's) opinion, he's a very intelligent dog, a sort of manimal as I would call him, and as Pres. Truman said, "if you want a close friend in Washington, DC, get yourself a dog". My job, I think, this is number 8 (maybe it's 9 or 10 -- can't remember when last updated this - must be the senior moments creeping in) over the past 20 years, but I have been steadily working for nationally ranked law firms as a sr. case manager/ sr. paralegal for most of that period, and now that I think that I have done fairly well over the past several years or so and managed to build something, I'm thinking (still) about picking up and packing ship before I'm 55 and moving back out west, perhaps Reno, Carson City or Tahoe or Bust where perhaps I'll start my own business or go into real estate (since I've buying some investment property now) and where I can ski forty times a year again, or go Scuba diving and play golf in the Baja Gulf or Hawaii. Single and dating as Carrie in Sex in the City would describe probably would adhere to my life right now - I guess I just can't seem to find the right Ms. Big (with or without children), but all takers/challengers, please send your most intriguing letters or applications to attention of "The Baron". (I'm on the internet in Upper Marlboro, MD - of course I'm just kidding - we would have to have at least 6 months of cyber correspondence before we would actually meet - I think that is how it works these days anyway.) Hate discussing past relationships -- mostly because it is pointless anyway and negative energy, some were long, some were mid-term and some were very short, a few to many were good, a few fewer were great and few were not so great, but most contained parts from both worlds at one point or another, most were beneficial in my life, I learned something (sometimes I wondered what I was supposed to have learned), and made me grow into a stronger person and man with integrity, character, a kind soul with passion, a compassionate/empathetic human being, a true romantic (and as all of my friends think of me as a great - maybe the greatest, nicest, intelligent man on the planet, with a huge, huge heart for all ...Expand for more
people) -- and those relationships that weren't beneficial -- well won't talk about those and let's just say chalk them upto experience. But I guess there are positives and negatives to everything including single life and married life, besides the women here in DC (most) are so young, it seems that I could be just about everyone's daddy at this point in my life, but what the heck and what are you going to do, sometimes you just have to resort to dating a woman who is 10, 15 or 20 years younger than you, besides my previous comment, DC metropolitan area is one of the hardest working cities in the country or the world, but it also still one of liveliest and bountiful places on the planet (there are always things to do). Not playing any rugby anymore (too much damage to my knees and ankles), but still occasionally hang out with lads sometimes at the nearest watering hole, and I'd rather play golf, ski, scuba, fly my airplane, go sailing, ride my motorcycle in the open breeze or travel these days than to get banged up every weekend at my age). Yes, I'm still going to some charity galas, steeple chase races or attending a variety of other social group events, but mostly working and working out and working my house and investment properties. My acting career has been put on hold for a while maintaining my legal career (which has somewhat kept me busy and taken me around the world -- hopefully but still haven't got to Australia, but maybe one of these days). Haven't done any films in awhile (mostly uncredited) like my most famous film " Along Came a Spyder"), and while my work can sometimes seem to make the days pass by without an opportunity to stop and smell the roses, it allows me to work and play hard. Not much dragonboat racing these days because of my other activities like golf and sailing. School Q1: Can't tell, but a few are still out there, and a few are married. Q2: Probably most should. Q3: Somethings yes, somethings no. Woodsies, CU for a semester, FHS and CU football games, State Basketball Tourney, school in general since we have all had to become very responsible these days -- should indulged more in our freeness. Lambda Chi Alpha parties, and most of the sorority parties I attended and photographed along the front range for the first 4 years of college.
