Eric's Story
Wow how time flies when your raising a family and working. After Buchser I attended West Valley to finish undergrad. Met my wife Michal Levers Buchser 1970. Attended San Jose State and majored in US History, Health and Kinesiology ( Phy Ed.) graduated 1976. And Wow there is really no real pay or security for High School teachers or being a Coach.
Went on to work other positions in Mgnt. over the years. Ended up in Phoenix Arizona after a failed Computer company venture, long story but water under the bridge. Saw the opportunity in UPS and signed on as a Brown Box Jockey with 2 college degrees. Extremely tough job over 25 years. t's Why. Saw many ex-professional athletes cry and complain and fail on the 30day training for becoming permanent. Was approached a few times to go into Mgnt. but refused. Why? they have to be able to eat there own young as being a human being. No soul just put the numbers up, pitiful to observer.
Did 20 years as a Teamster shop steward dealing with the lost souls in UPS Mgnt. Mgnt. developed a respect for me for my tact and savvy in knowing contractual and labor laws for my fellow workers. defense.
Now Retired and sorting out my bucket list, to do list, options galore. My felling is Just Do It you got nothing to be embarrassed about. Oh thinking of taking dance lessons, don't want to look awkward at weddings.
Later- putting in a back yard veggie garden.
