Eric's Story
Life
I am happily married to the love of my life, Lynn, since 12/23/95. We have 2 amazing children (Ashley and Brian). Early in our marriage, we started the painful process of moving every 2 years (job changes and company transfers), but after 5 moves in 10 years, we are very happily back home in Kentucky.
I am still playing trumpet (over 25 years now) and have recently added French Horn to my armory and am having a blast with it. I play mostly in church and at family / friends weddings.
I am also known as my wife's favorite geek, family / friends tech support, webmaster, etc. as my other love in life is computers.
School
I grew up in Owen County, Kentucky then moved to Greensboro, North Carolina during the winter break of my Junior year. Going from a school with 1 building and ~450 students to a school with 12 buildings (including an Olympic sized indoor pool) and ~2000 students was quite an adjustment! Music, specifically trumpet, in the Grimsley Marching, Concert, and Jazz bands were an awesome experience!
College

Appalachian State University in Boone, NC for 2 incredible years. The ASU Marching Mountaineers were an experience of a lifetime. The Jazz Ensemble was incredible too!
I then transfered for an Engineering program that took me through 2 schools and 2 states to end up at the University of Louisville in Louisville, Kentucky. There I received my BS and MEng in Industrial Engineering. I was also blessed to meet my wife Lynn in the only semmester of Marching Band either of us could squeeze in.
Workplace
I have been fortunate to work for a few really good companies in North Carolina, Kentucky, Michigan, and Minnesota. All have been in the Supply Chain world, blending my background in Industrial Engineering, Business, and Information Technology. I've worked in Food Services, Chemical, Consulting, High Tech / Electronics, and Medical Devices. By far, the most rewarding is Medical Devices. I work for ATEK Medical, based in Grand Rapids, Michigan; however, I am most fortunate to have a remote office in my home (back home in Kentucky!) and travel ~25%.
