Eric's Story
Life
Born in Fayetteville WV on Aug 8,42 left FHS to go to Washington in 1957 stayed there til I moved to Suffolk, VA on Aug 8 1959 and have lived here since. I am a freelance photographer and have been since 1961. Started out as a writer at the Va Pilot newspaper writing a small col on rescue sq activities and local jail news. In 1962 started photographing car races at a local track and still photograph Nascar and NHRA events for several publications. 2003 will be my 34th straight year at INDY. B/W photos through the mail. I have over 700,000 B/W images and 400,000 color images on file.As a freelancer I have won 13 press awards in photo competition.When I get the time I will do a web site with B/W photos I have taken over the years.I taught photography at several Community Colleges for over 20 years and in 1980 wrote a book on photography and sold it to Waldens.I plan a B/W photo display as well as new color shot of Fayetteville and Fayette County at a photo show in Fayetteville in 2004 sometime around the 4th of July.
