Eric's Story

6/16/2014 Life altering There has been joy, there has been pain, there has been laughter, and there has been shame in my life. In spite of all, love has been the only constant. I now know what it means to put God first in all that you do, and the plans he has for you may not be what you were trying to achieve for yourself. Success has nothing to do with material possessions, monetary well being, or perfect health. These things come and go with or without your effort. Remarkably God's love is everything you want...and not that superficial moment of infatuation or fleshly lust that we so often go seeking earnestly through social media, dating, or even marriages. This perfect Love exists for you whether you accept it or not. Not to sound like a preacher, or a new found Christian which is nothing wrong in that, God's love is far beyond our comprehension, but simple to receive. You can acquire all the knowledge in the world but it is meaningless without God's love in accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior. However unyielding you are to acknowledge his mercy, like a father with rebellious children, you are loved. The sooner you achieve this understanding in life, the earlier you open the gifts he has set aside for you since your birth. This is my testimony and it is the truth to peace and love everlasting. It is what I share and pray for all who reads my post. May God bless you all as he has done for me. To God be the glory...Amen! 5/1/2009 It wasn't that bad, We thought returning to Dutch Harbor, and getting our old jobs back was going to be a step in the wrong direction. When...Expand for more
in fact, it was our blessing in these rough, unforgiven, economic down turn of events. The Mrs. and I were both torn to leave our babies, Caleb & Eden, behind in Georgia against my mother wishes. However, I know even if she tells me otherwise, she has cotton toward them like a pig loves slop. The warm welcome we received in Dutch Harbor from all the people who knew us, and how quick they told others who knew nothing of us at all was unbelievable. Our hearts were lifted up to know so many people missed us so. I mean, I was plumb tickled pink(lighter shade of brown) to have perfect strangers say hello like we were celebrities. My hand extended, Friend, you have me at a disadvantage, how is it you know our names? Oh, I'm sorry he replies, my family talk about you two often. They say you both are very kind, and friendly people. Well shut my mouth, and call me uncle, I would have never guessed anybody thought so highly of us. Dutch Harbor, home of the deadliest catch. May God keep us safe, and allow us to gather the means to make ends meet. I'll keep you posted. 12/5/2008 Guess What, My wife and I have been here in Georgia a good two months trying to find work, and it just isn't happening! Our impeccable work experience, and work ethics appear to be falling on deaf ears. Thank you Mr. President for the worst economic slump this country have seen in decades! You sir, shall be forever etched worthless! I mean Georgia is worst than I remembered! Honey pack the Rimowa bags, it seems like we gotta go back for some more money! Alaska? Yeah, Alaska dog gone blippity blip!
