Eric's Story
Life
Who would have thought I would end up living in Tokyo? I went to college at Washington University in St. Louis and got an undergraduate degree and MBA. After graduating I joined Salomon Brothers in New York and part of the training involved going to London/Japan. I volunteered to go to Tokyo for a temporary assignment in 1988 and I am still here! I spent 15 years in the brokerage industry for Salomon Brot...Expand for more
hers, Goldman Sachs, and Credit Suisse First Boston. I left the brokerage world in 2001 and started a business with a few partners helping Japanese invest in apartment complexes in the U.S. I travel frequently to the U.S. for business. Since coming to Japan I developed an interest in Asian art and that's become one of my hobbies. I run marathons, lift weights, and do a lot of hiking to try to stay in shape.
