Eric's Story

Life. I think the only thing I really miss from high school is ROTC and my Friends. The Navy stint did not work, but it was better that way. I went to school instead and then got a job with Nevada Power Company in 1992. I was still in Henderson till I bought a house Feb. 2002, now I'm on the west side of Vegas, still working for Nevada Power, but in 1998 I picked up week-end auto racing with the SCCA. That is my 1972 Ford Mustang in the NOW picture, but not the same Mustang from High School, which I still own. So, as of April 2004, Nine Mustangs (it's a hobby), two 89 Escort GTs, Two Ford 4x4 Trucks, one house, one woman, no kids, one fat cat, one big dog, no jail time, and a partridge in a pear tree!!! OK, UPDATE, September 2005, I got a promotion at work and have finally left Las Vegas. I now work in a very small rural office, still with the power company but now in northern Nevada, southeast of Reno. Oh, Vehicle update, 10 classic Mustangs five of which are on the road, one 2004 Mustang GT, three Ford 4x4 trucks, three 1989 Escort GTs, one 1972 Mercury Cougar, and 1972 VW Bug Convertible. Currently looking for land to build a house and a massive garage to house the collection. Later Dude!!! ANOTHER UPDATE!!! May 30, 2008, Still working the same job in Nevada, but have just finished my online AS degree for Electric Power Technology. I Got MARRIED, April 2007 to Stephanie. Car Update: still 11 Mustangs, only change is gave back one 4x4 truck and the 1972 Cougar to my Dad. Bought a house and also have 20 acre parcel, two seperate properties. Till next time!!! UPDATE!!! Dec. 15, 2008, Getting divorced in January, Oh Well, Stuff Happens. 20 Acres for...Expand for more
sale with water rights. Bought two more 1971 Mustangs plus a 1994 Mazda Navajo which is a Ford Explorer Sport 4x4. So to sum up, Single again, 20 vehicles, 12 are Classic Mustangs (OK it's an addiction), the pooch, the kitty, and me. Finally Another UPDATE!!! June 20, 2014, A lot has happened since that Dec 2008 update. Left my job of 17 years, and goofed off for a year in Pennsylvania. Was not happy with the way that company was being run and how the benefits were being raped. They offered a severance package in Sept 2009 and I jumped on it, left Dec 2009. Wanted to pursue my passion of Mustangs so I thought it would be a great idea to go to WyoTech and learn all about cars. I did just that from March 2010 till March 2011, in Blairsville Pennsylvania, of all places. I LOVED it there. So Green, cool, lots of snow, four seasons, AWESOME. So after a year of having fun, living in a Travel Trailer (nice brand new 30’ apt on wheels), I needed to get back to work. I asked some places I knew and ended up back in Nevada. I got an instructor position at the local driving school here in Pahrump. That was not paying the bills working only one or two days a week, so I was seeking a second job. The local power company had a job opening with a job description that read like my previous employment. I applied, they interviewed and I got hired making more money, with better benefits than I had at that other company I left after 17 years. :) So here I am, still single, still have my critters, but have a nice house on five acres, and (I kid you not) 27 Cars, 19 of which are Mustangs, two boats, and a full sized Back-Hoe. Is there a Mustangs Anonymous? I need Help!!!
