Eric's Story

For 3.5 years ('02-'05), my wife and I lived in Albany, NY, for her medical residency. Her experience was horrible and Albany (for being NY's capital) is a dump. Clearly all the money in NY is kept in Manhattan. Our visits to NYC were a blast. We took for granted the lakes, bikepaths, etc. that we have in the Twin Cities that Albany did not have. ith NY drivers. We couldn't wait to move back. However, we did have wonderful neighbors, a great church, and we had our first child, Lucy, out there. We're so glad to be back home. Other than Albany, I have lived in Duluth (college), St. Cloud (college), Mpls. Uptown, Mpls. Longfellow, and now, St. Louis Park. I still hang out with Marcus Thomas and Phil Skeie on a regular basis. Why? I ask myself that all the time.
