Life About my sophomore year of High School I had a life changing experience. I was studying late one night at home when I heard a woman somewhere in the neighborhood screaming, “Help me!” I had no idea who the woman was or what exactly was going on; still, I instinctively called the police. The police arrived on the scene to discover that my neighbor’s boyfriend was attempting to stab her to death. While she was badly injured the police managed to arrive in time to save her. A year later I was given the opportunity to testify at the boyfriends trial, where my testimony contributed to his lifetime conviction.
