Eric's Story

Life After graduating from Bogan I went to UIC for a year, where I continued my failing streak. I thought I might be a Mechanical Engineer, but that didn't work out. I went to Moraine Valley for a year and a half trying to figure out what in the world to do with my life. I was exposed to new subjects, like philosophy and psychology. Like most subjects I've come across, I gained an interest in them. But I began to realize that there is really only one thing that I could give my whole heart to studying and never lose interest in. -the Bible. Since I was a kid I've read the written Word of God and gained understanding of the world, wisdom for living, and a relationship with the living Word. failed, just like math. But if there is anything I've learned from reading the Bible, it's that in every place I've failed, Jesus Christ succeeded. Depending on your preconceptions, that statement can be condemning or encouraging. Through faith He credits His faultlessness to me and He forgives my failures, while giving me the power of the Holy Spirit to overcome sin and live a life of victory. Gradewise, my failing streak ended at UIC. For the past year and a half I've gone to Moody Bible Institute (Chicago Ave. 'n LaSalle St.). It's been the best educational experience of my life. With my education in the Bible I hope to make a difference in other people's lives, primarily by helping them come into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
