Eric's Story
Life
Okay, okay, so it's been a while since I updated this, not like anyone ever reads it, though. So, I'm still living in the bustling city of St. Helens, Oregon, and I must say that I've truly come to appreciate everything that Oregon has to offer. The Seattle area was a great place to grow up, but the Portland area is a great place to live. The coast, the mountains, the lack of nasty traffic... Oregon is home, and I love it!
I've been coaching high school boys' rugby for the past four years. I spent two years as the assistant coach of the Columbia County Operators Rugby Football Club, and I have been the head coach for the past two seasons. My guys had a great season in 2007, and we won the Oregon Division II State Championship! I'm already excited for the 2008 season!
I spent four and a half great years working for St. Helens Police, but being in a 5 square mile city got old after a while. ble to finish out the year. Unfortunately, the funding just wasn't there, so I had to make another move or face a lay off. As of May 21, 2007, I'll be working for the Hillsboro Police Department as a police officer. It'll be my third, and hopefully last, department in my career. I'm very excited for all the opportunities Hillsboro, a city of about 85,000 to the northwest of Portland, has to offer!
I'm still living with my two kitties, Mandy and Emilia. As far as ever settling down and getting married goes, who knows! I spend all of my time with my best friend/significant other/partner in crime, and we have a great time! Lots of baseball games, trips to the coast, golf, Beaver football... We have a great time! No need to rush things!
And the other thing that I love about Oregon: Oregon State University. I got my degree from there in 2005, and I love being a Beav. I traded in just about every single one of my normal pieces of clothing for anything with orange and black...
So that's where I'm at right now. Just living, laughing, and loving life. It's been a great ride so far!
