Eric's Story

After working 44 years with electronics equipment of all types, I moved back to the Franklin Indiana area eight years ago. I served in the US Navy for six years as a Electronics Technician Communications ETN and before that, I went to ITT Technical Institute back when ITT was buying out Howard W Sams as a new school and going to Sams and the new ITT was an excellent experience.. Franklin and Johnson County have changed. Mostly for the good. I still have a Dog and Suds mug from the old Dog and Suds. The Greenwood Drive-in along with the Meridian and US31 Drive-in movies are all gone. Do you remember parking in the back row and making out with that special girl / woman. I surely do. . r cities, like Houston TX or other BIG Cities that I have lived in. Anyway it was fun while it lasted, living in Franklin was a hoot and the 60's without a doubt were the best years of the 20th Century. I wouldn't have wanted to live my youth anywhere else. There are an awful lot of GOOD memories drifting around the city of Franklin, and the county of Johnson for me. And to this day Franklin seems to be a pleasant town. Take care, live well and be happy. I surly am having a good time and living well out in the country where the shade is free and the Cardinals sing their beautiful songs while the humming birds dance at my feeders, and the breeze blows genitally from the South as I sip on a glass of sweet ice tea! Life just can't get any better than that! Eric
