Erica's Story
Life
After graduating from Helene Fuld Nursing School, I worked at Cornell University in NYC for a year. I married Joe Altomare, my high school sweetheart, and moved to Philly where I taught nursing for 3 years. We moved to NW PA and raised our 3 children. University of Pittsburgh Titusville-Campus. Closed my practice in 1996 and joined Pitt as fulltime tenured associate Professor of psychology. The two older children are grown (40 and 42yo ) and live in New Mexico with their families. My youngest son passed away in 2013 after a long battle with cancer (31 yo). Joe & I still live in Titusville,Pa with our two dogs and three horses. Currently I am retired as a professor Emerita.
