Erich's Story
Ok, here is the short version ...
Upon graduating from high school I spent several years wandering the halls of 'normal' college at SSU, pursuing a business degree, joined a fraternity (TKE), then became completely bored with the idea of wafting through life as an accountant. Instead I opted for a career working with rock and roll bands with an audio engineering degree from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh. That wasn't exactly the caliber of education I needed for where I wanted to end up so I went back to school for another audio degree at FullSail Center for the Recording Arts in Orlando. From there I went to work for a company called SHOWCO based in Dallas and spent the next several years touring with bands as a system technician/monitor engineer. eturned to Dallas and worked for various sound companies as a local technician and engineer. From there I met several people whom I currently work with, learned how to be a lighting engineer, graphic designer/operator, and IT specialist. Now I work for a company called AVMG as a human swiss army knife for live productions, trade shows, and conventions.
Along the way I was married for a few years, managed to purchase a house, and acquire a 128lb Great Pyrenees named Bunny. We now live outside Dallas in Garland, TX.
I still spend about 140 days a year traveling for various productions as well as managing post production projects. After fifteen years of traveling it's beginning to get old and I have recently toyed with the idea of moving back to the Maryland area.
