Erick's Story
Life
After OPRFHS, I attended the University of Illinois in Champaign/Urbana, majoring in Mechanical Engineering. After college I spent a year as a VISTA volunteer in Mobile, Alabama, and then returned to Chicago for seminary at the Lutheran School of Theology. While at seminary I met my wife Delia. I have served as pastor at three Lutheran churches, Prince of Peace in Dearborn, St. Peter in Battle Creek and now at Immanuel in Jackson, all in Michi...Expand for more
gan. Delia is a social worker in Jackson. We have two daughters: Kirsten (age 24) is in graduate school in Social Work; Andrea (21) is studying at a university in Santiago, Chile, and will be a senior next year at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. I serve on the board of the Food Bank of South Central Michigan and Church World Service in Michigan and on the World Hunger Committee of our synod. I enjoy reading, bicycling, walking and hiking.
