Shortly after Malik was born, I took a lay off in order to stay home with him for his first year. It was really important to me to be with him especially through his surgery at one month of age and a few hospital stays after the surgery. The plan was to work again once he turned a year old but with the economy right now, it is really difficult to find a job. I am currently working part time at Disneyland but still continue to look for a full time, daytime job.".
