Erin's Story
I graduated Irving High School in 1983, and then moved to Austin to attend UT. Graduated UT with a BA in English and worked as a 7th-grade English teacher until I decided to return to school to receive my Masters. I worked as a freelance writer while I studied. My parenting articles have been published in the US, Canada, and Australia. I graduated from Texas State University with my M.Ed. in Counseling and Guidance and worked as a school counselor before opening my private practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor and a Registered Play...Expand for more
Therapist-Supervisor. I continued in this vein until I returned to school again to pursue my doctorate degree which I was awarded in 2012. My little patients call me Dr. Erin.
Professionally, I still have my practice, and I am currently teaching graduate students at two different universities.
While in high school, my boyfriend was Ron Hervey, my best friends were Robin Mash, Kathy Flanagan, and Allison Stratton. At that time, my goal in life was to get out of high school and get started with college. I knew I had a lot of college to finish :)
