Erin's Story

Life see my website at esylvia.com Back in my high school days I was a pianist for the stage band, which performed the Wooster Colts song at all the boys basketball games...all the way to Vegas one year where, if I recall correctly, Wooster actually won the state basketball championship. It was great to be part of a winning team, I will always remember that day :) I also played as a backup pianist for a number of talent shows, including "Culture Vultures" which may have been on stage at UNR? (don't remember) One solo instrumentalist I backed up took a prize in a high school level competition, and several vocalists I backed up in high school went on to various levels of fame after I graduated, as did "Zothique", a band a few of us got together that played senior assembly. Remember "Long and Winding Road" or "Got to Get You Into My Life"?. City theater might also ring a bell. Although I was not in high school drama productions, a few people from Wooster, and also other area schools, may remember working together with me on performing timeless classics for the younger generation, like "Pinnochio" or "Rapunzel".. How about Wooster's Tolkien Society? I believe some of you elected me to an office in that club? (historian...ask me anything, maybe I'll remember) Of course those of us in Burnie's classes all shared a unique experience together as well...a teaching & learning experience which, as I understand, went through some changes over the years as we all do. People who enjoyed Tolkien Society may want to check out a tax exempt organization I founded, Temple of Fortuna dot com (I'll let you guess where to find that online), or drop into the TOF group at Facebook, which I update Sunday mornings. Some may remember me as the youngest senior, or as a frequent contributor to Wooster's Literary Annual publication, "Colt's Tale". If you liked that sort of thing, you may enjoy my book, "p.s. Fortun...Expand for more
a", which is self published and available at Amazon. So, what happened in my life after Graduation Day? After high school, I went to college, partly on scholarship, majored in music and graduated with honors before I was 18. Then my Dad got a transfer overseas, and I was accepted into the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid, Spain, where I studied for a year under the head of piano instruction, and also with his wife, who was a wonderful pianist herself. Living in Europe gave me a chance to experience, first-hand, the energies of ancient buildings...the type structures that inspired Casino architecture we grew up with in Reno. There is really no way to capture those energies, even if the style is copied in detail. It's just that there are so many layers of history...centuries...millennia...and the aging processes the structures go through, along with societal changes...how can all those years of history be duplicated in one generation of building? Anyway, I became fascinated with the architecture of Europe and the UK, and eventually graduated University with a major in architecture. I worked with "Starchitect" William Morgan when I was in college, and then my sister got divorced in California. So I went to California, for whatever reason, and worked with a few architecture companies, eventually I got my license to practice. I'm also licensed in Washington State. I've also kept a hand in the entertainment business, and have done odd entertainment jobs too. My first job was as a singer and keyboardist in a working disco band on the weekends. Most recently, I've learned to read tarot cards, and I do tarot consulting online, internationally. Unlike many tarot readers, who are really serious about their predictions, I see reading tarot for clients as a form of entertainment. No guaranteed results.... Anyways, I thought it might be nice to update the page, seeing as so many other have done.
