Erin's Story
Life
I'm married (third times a charm)to a retired Marine with four beautiful daughters. I am a stay at home mom (finally!) enjoying each and every day with my girls and hubby. Our oldest daughter is a sophomore in college and our baby is seven. They all live at home and vacation with us one weekend each and every month. Be it up in the snow, out at Glamis or on Lake Nacimiento we all play together and let all the grumpies out!
College
My college days have been the last four years.....with a high schooler, a middle schooler and two elementary schoolers. Yes, I took a full load at night while running a large family day care from my home during the day. My caffeine fueled all nighters were all dayers....LOL
Workplace
When I was a junior my dad lost his job so I went to work full time. My first job was at a Japanese restaurant in Woodbridge. Then it turned into a Chinese joint and I became the manager. After graduation, I became part owner of a dinner house in Orange by St. Josephs with my first husband and his mom - after that we opened a catering company based...Expand for more
in Newport Beach out of a 500 sq ft hole in the wall deli shop! After our divorce I swore off restaraunts and went to work at the Pottery Shack for several years. I also worked two part time jobs to support my little girl.
When I met hubby #2 I was working at Pier One in Irvine (actually I met hubby #3 there too, but didn't make the connection yet....) And then emerged from the retail world to the Office/Professional world. Spent almost 8 years at Fluor Daniel with my career spanning from secretarial to programming at the end. THAT was a great career!
When I left Fluor I worked part time as dad had suffered a massive heart attack and they lived with us; once he'd recovered, I discovered that I really enjoyed staying at home, and through hard work we have been able to make my dream a reality! Along the way I operated a large family day care from our home for five years and even opened a preschool. But that took me away from my girls for 18 hours a day and after 6 months of this, I sold my share to my partners.
Now, I'm just mom - and couldn't be happier!
