Ernest's Story
I know, I know, it's hard to believe but I was NOT the most popular guy in H.S. I was a mediocre student at best and graduated by the skin of my teeth. But, as they say - that was then, this is now. Now that I'm retired, I study online -- I am teaching myself computer programming, learning to build web pages, studying physics and math. And I still read a lot. Science fiction, fantasy, legal thrillers, spy novels, old Classic literature. I'm a life long bachelor - lol and, no, I'm not gay, just unlucky in the relationship department. 5-23-08 - When I was a kid growing up, I never saw my self as a grown-up (and, truth to tell, still don't, even though I'm cough cough grumble grumble curse curse 54!! Dammit, I CAN'T be getting OLD) and so never really had much in the way of dreams or aspirations. I always tried to let the future take care of itself. And that has been the story of my life. Always willing to go wherever the wind blew, or where the next road took me. But I have had a full and rewarding life. I have my family, I have my friends. That is enough for me.
