Ernie's Story
I was the pulpit minister for Lake Shore Drive Church of Christ in Waco, Texas from 1985 until I retired in 2013. I am still associated with the congregation but in a lesser role. I preach from time to time when our preacher is out of town, and I teach a Bible class each quarter. In addition I am a volunteer chaplain at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center and Ascension Providence Medical Center through Lifeline Chaplaincy which originated at M.D Anderson in Houston. My wife and I have two children and their spouses and five grandchildren. I love this business of being Papa. I am still trying to grow old gracefully. The growing old is easy. If you live long enough, that happens naturally. It is the graceful part which I am working on diligently.
I will post some random things about me which will give a snapshot of my life.
