Ernie's Story
Life
"Been there, done that" literally. After finishing a few years of college, I Spent an interesting time in the Military with Special Operations. I eventually became a reservist in order to complete my education, and get a job in the "Corporate World"...I basically traded one combat zone for another, go figure. I work as an executive for for a major overnight freight company, and really have nothing to complain about...at least until I have to trade in the "sports car" for an SUV.
Interestingly though, my life as a bachelor is finally coming to an end. I have to admit, a beautiful woman has finally managed to steal my heart, and marriage is on the horizon. I figure I'd better settle down before I am too old ...Expand for more
to play basketball with my kids.
I currently live in "paradise" (Hawaii), but I may just have to move back to the mainland, just to catch up with old friends...aloha.
Military
Originally joined the Military to stay out of trouble (I seemed to be finding it pretty regularly up till then), and gained some discipline...little did I know that I would actually love it. I initially got into the communications field, but went on to Special Operations in '93. I discovered after coming home for leave, that I was a little more "materialistic" than "Gung Ho", at that point. I Came to the harsh realization, that I couldn't "paint my face" forever, and at some point I would have to finish school. The rest is history.
